Help Desk AnalystThe Help Desk Analyst will work with the network and help desk team to provide daily computer, network, and telecom support to the organization.Location: must be on-site at our office in Downtown Chicago dailySchedule: Regular business hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday, must be able to work after hours and on weekends as needed.Salary: $40,000.00 to $55,000.00 annuallyAdditional Compensation and Benefits:At Harris & Harris, we truly care about each employee's health, wellness, financial stability, and education. We are proud to offer each employee the following benefits:Medical, Vision, and Dental insurances from premium providers401K with matchingCompany paid Accident and Disability Insurance, Long Term Disability Insurance, EAP, and Travel AssistanceTuition ReimbursementPaid Time OffAdditional benefits such as identity theft protection, flexible spending accounts, pre-tax commuter benefits, and more.DAY TO DAY· Provide technical support for desktop systems software, hardware and peripherals, including printers, phones, handhelds and remote laptops in a Windows (XP, 7, 2003, 2008) environment.· Install, configure, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and connectivity issues.· Provide daily 2003/2008 Active Directory administration of users, desktops and file/folder permissions.· Maintain and update the ticket tracking, asset management and inventory tracking systems.· Responsible for user setups, moves and system permissions.· Customizes the conversation by articulating clear instructions and troubleshooting information appropriate to the employee's level of technical knowledge. Ensures understanding so that all staff is able to perform their job functions.WHAT YOU MUST POSSESSMust Have:· A minimum of 1 year of experience in a help desk or similar role· High School Diploma or Equivalent· Experience and knowledge troubleshooting Microsoft Office Suite and WindowsOther Required Skills:· Strong ability to prioritize work appropriately, be flexible and be well organized.· Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.· Ability to think out of the box and implement smart solutions to ever changing company needs.· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.· Excellent customer service skills.WHY HARRIS & HARRIS?Harris & Harris is a premier, full-service revenue recovery firm headquartered and founded in Chicago, IL.
