Position Summary: Revere Health is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to lead a high functioning team at our Provo Main Laboratory supporting 400+ Revere Health providers throughout Utah. This role oversees day-to-day laboratory operations, supports staff development, and helps maintain regulatory compliance and high-quality, patient-focused service. Essential Job Functions: • Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, and evaluate laboratory staff; provide ongoing feedback and performance management. • Coach and recognize employees, support their professional goals, and encourage open communication and suggestions for improvement. • Delegate responsibilities and follow up to ensure accountability. • Use knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures to evaluate operations and recommend improvements. • Oversee patient testing and the performance and documentation of equipment maintenance, quality control, and proficiency testing. • Supply and inventory management. • Work with quality supervisors to review departmental performance and support compliance with CLIA, COLA, and OSHA requirements. • Supervise the phlebotomy supervisor and serve as a resource to the phlebotomy team. • Partner with the Laboratory Services Director to maintain efficient, high-quality laboratory services and a safe, professional, collaborative workplace. Evaluate staffing and equipment needs, recalls, proficiency testing, processes, concerns, complaints, and opportunities for growth.

 

Qualifications: • bachelor’s degree in medical technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent qualifying CLIA-approved science degree. • 2 years required, 4 years preferred, experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in CLIA high-complexity testing. Relevant testing areas include routine chemistry, hematology, immunohematology, urinalysis, microbiology, general immunology, and endocrinology. • Experience in a supervisory/management position preferred. • Familiarity with CLIA, COLA, and OSHA laboratory regulations. • Strong problem-solving skills. • Basic Life support (BLS or BCLS) certification or within 6 months of hire. 

 

Hours: • Salary position based on a 40-hour work week, primarily Monday through Friday. Shifts may vary according to department needs. • Laboratory hours are 7:30 a.m.– 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, Saturday 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM with rotating Saturdays. • The laboratory is closed on Sundays and holidays.
