Maintenance Supervisor – ORBIS The Maintenance Supervisor will assist the Technical Manager in providing leadership and direction to the Maintenance team. The role will ensure all equipment is maintained and ready for use by other departments and that the Maintenance team is properly trained and qualified. This position will also be assigned special projects when needed. Key Duties and Responsibilities Provide and maintain a safe working environment for all employees, including auditing, addressing unsafe behaviors and conditions, timely reporting of safety incidents, and enforcing safety-related policies and procedures. Provide leadership and direction to the Maintenance team, including auditing the department for safety issues, managing installations and the set-up of new equipment or movement of equipment in the plant, ensuring shifts communicate, overseeing housekeeping, and reviewing the quality and quantity of work completed by the Maintenance Technicians. Provide technical assistance to the Maintenance department. Program, write, design, and run diagnostics on ladder logic for wiring or PLC programming. Coordinate work schedules for the Maintenance department, including writing, reviewing, and updating open and completed work orders, updating mold damage reports, charting mold changeovers and press down time for continuous improvement, setting up and scheduling all outside training, reviewing all mold/insert changes with the Scheduler, and verifying times and configurations. Knowledge of technologies and applications used in manufacturing products and in the optimization of manufacturing processes. Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations, and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of the employees, environment and sit.
