Job Description Job Description Assistant Manager - Seasonal Ice Cream Shop Location: Seaside, NJ Position Type: Seasonal Full-Time Pay: $22-$26 per hour (Based on Experience) Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and energetic Assistant Manager to help oversee daily operations of a busy seasonal ice cream shop. This role supports the owner and management team by leading staff, delivering excellent customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Responsibilities * Assist with daily store operations and shift management * Open and close the store as needed * Train, coach, and support team members * Ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction * Monitor cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards * Assist with scheduling and shift coverage * Help manage inventory and restocking * Handle customer concerns professionally * Assist with cash handling and POS procedures * Lead by example during busy periods Qualifications * Previous restaurant, food service, retail, or hospitality experience preferred * Supervisory or leadership experience is a plus * Strong communication and customer service skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Reliable, organized, and self-motivated * Available evenings, weekends, and holidays throughout the season Physical Requirements * Ability to stand for extended periods * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs * Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Benefits * Competitive hourly pay * Employee discounts * Opportunity for end-of-season bonus * Fun and team-oriented work environment Why Join Us?
