Event Planning Assistant

$22.6 - $25 per hour

Event Planning Assistant Benefits & Compensation $22.60–$25.00 per hour (equivalent to $47,000–$52,000 annually ), commensurate with experience Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance 403(b) retirement plan Flexible spending and dependent care accounts Professional development stipend Paid time off Cell phone stipend and gym reimbursement Opportunity to establish a staff donor‑advised fund with a modest employer match Inclusive, mission‑driven team culture that values belonging, equity, and ongoing learning Event Planning Assistant Requirements & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required 2+ years of experience in event operations, project management, logistics, or related fields Experience supporting large-scale, multi‑stakeholder events or campaigns Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Familiarity coordinating with vendors, partners, and internal teams Proficiency with project management tools and shared documentation platforms Event Planning Assistant Preferred Background & Skills Experience working with nonprofit, foundation, or philanthropic organizations Familiarity with large civic events, fundraising campaigns, or community activations Bilingual fluency is a plus Experience managing complex run‑of‑show documents and on‑site event logistics Deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion Event Planning Assistant Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities Manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables for Give Miami Day and other major events Coordinate planning meetings, track milestones, and ensure alignment across teams Oversee event logistics such as load‑in/out schedules, equipment, signage, staffing, and on‑site support Support permitting, compliance, safety planning, and risk management processes Facilitate information flow and collaboration across internal teams, vendors, and partners Provide on‑site leadership and problem‑solving during live events, ensuring operational excellence If you have a passion for community impact, thrive in fast‑paced event environments, and are eager to support a collaborative mission, we’d love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
