Role Overview:
The Database Developer will design, develop, and maintain robust database solutions to support business applications and analytics. This role involves creating efficient data models, writing optimized queries, and ensuring data integrity and security across systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement relational and/or NoSQL database structures to meet application requirements.
Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers for high performance.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
Collaborate with application developers to integrate database solutions into software systems.
Perform database tuning, indexing, and troubleshooting to improve performance.
Manage data migration, backup, and recovery processes.
Stay updated on emerging database technologies and recommend improvements.
Required Skills
Qualifications:
Proficiency in SQL and Database Programming
(e.g., T SQL, PL/SQL).
Experience with Database Design and Optimization
(including normalization, indexing, and query tuning).
Hands on experience with RDBMS and/or NoSQL platforms
(e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Knowledge of data security, backup, and recovery strategies.
Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration tools.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications in database technologies (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft SQL Server).
Experience with cloud based databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).
Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation.
