Maintenance Technician (Hotel Facilities / Engineering – Evaluation Hire)Location: Fountain Valley / Huntington Beach, CA Schedule: Full-Time | Flexible Schedule (Weekends & Holidays Required) Pay: Starting at $23+/hour (DOE)OverviewWe are partnering with a well-established hotel seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day facility operations. This is an evaluation hire opportunity with long-term potential for the right individual.This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, can troubleshoot and resolve issues independently, and understands that maintenance directly impacts the guest experience. You're not just fixing problems—you're maintaining the standard of the property. This role requires someone who takes initiative and doesn't wait to be told what's broken.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms and common areasTroubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, including basic system checks and adjustmentsComplete minor electrical repairs including lighting, outlets, appliances, and controlsPerform plumbing repairs such as toilets, sinks, pipes, and shower componentsConduct general carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and tile workComplete preventative maintenance tasks and maintain accurate service recordsInspect and maintain interior and exterior furniture and fixturesReplace light bulbs and ensure all lighting systems are functioning properlyMaintain housekeeping equipment and ensure proper operationAssist with pool maintenance including monitoring chemical levels and general upkeepCoordinate with vendors (pest control, pool services, etc.) as neededMaintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized mannerFollow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with property standardsRespond to guest maintenance requests in a timely, professional mannerQualifications1+ year of general maintenance or facilities experience (hotel experience preferred)Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repair workAbility to use basic hand and power tools safely and effectivelyStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasksGood communication skills; able to interact professionally with guests and team membersBasic computer skills for reporting and communicationBilingual (English/Spanish) is a plusMust have a valid driver's license and reliable transportationWork EnvironmentHotel setting with both indoor and outdoor workExposure to varying weather conditions, equipment, and maintenance materialsPhysically active role requiring standing, walking, lifting, climbing, and bendingModerate noise levels with occasional exposure to dust, fumes, and cleaning agentsSchedule RequirementsFlexible schedule required based on business needsMust be available to work weekends and holidaysMay be required to respond to occasional urgent maintenance needsEqual Opportunity StatementWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, including California's Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA).
