Superintendent - MEP - Demolition US - NY - Brooklyn LiRo Hill Overview We are looking for a Construction Superintendent ideally with MEP for a project in Brooklyn in demolition stage. Responsibilities We are looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent with MEP for a Brooklyn project starting with demolition. We are the Construction Manager for our client, NYS Office of General Services (OGS). Provide on-site day to day monitoring of construction activities for multi-trade contracts to ensure the project is constructed in conformance with the contract requirements. Monitor work and materials to ensure quality control standards are met at various stages of the project. Coordinate Third Party Code Inspection and Documentation. Communicate with the project team and support each subcontractor to execute his job duties effectively and efficiently. Read and interpret drawings and specifications, prepare daily reports and activity logs. Perform inspections or schedule inspectors to meet the varying safety and compliance regulations of each job location. Maintain a written daily log of visitors, job actions performed, materials expended, and problems resolved on the job site. Identify and resolve problems and conflicts, organizing meetings and cooperating with team members in various roles as necessary. Review contractor as-builts. Qualifications Minimum 8 years of experience in NYC construction leading multiple phases of ground up/building/rehabilitation projects. Background as General Construction Superintendent or MEP Superintendent preferred. Experience in institutional, public construction projects preferred. Minimum 4 years of experience as a Superintendent or Inspector on large scale, multi-contract building projects. Ability to develop and communicate a project work plan, monitor manpower and performance against that plan, and perform a detailed comparison of design drawings to ensure coordination between trades. Strong communication and collaborative skills working with client and contractors/subcontractors. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Experience with Submittal Exchange and Bluebeam preferred. Strong Excel, written communication, and technical skills. OSHA 30 certification. Benefits Comprehensive benefits package including insurance, PTO, and an ESOP plus a positive work environment. Compensation range Min: $145,000 to $164,000. Salary determined by qualifications and client approval. Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
