The Position

The Pennsylvania State Records Center is looking for a hardworking, skilled, and energetic person to perform clerical and manual duties involving the shipment, storage, receipt, and disposition of records maintained by the State Records Center for Commonwealth Agencies. The State Records Center is a safe, secure facility that holds 220,000 boxes of records for commonwealth agencies. We are a small staff that have pride in our work to assist agencies in a timely fashion. This is an entry level position. Description Of Work

This position helps manage the storage, accuracy, and movement of important state records at the Pennsylvania State Records Center. As a Stock Clerk 2, you will perform the following duties:

• Record Handling: Process new accessions by labeling cartons, shelving them in assigned areas, and scanning barcodes to correct locations
• Data Accuracy: Verify that the barcode scans upload properly into the Electronic Records Management System and ensure storage details are correct
• Box Retrieval: Remove cartons for disposition and retrieve or return files and boxes based on agency requests
• Shelf Verification: Use system tools to locate boxes and run reports that confirm shelves are populated correctly
• Document Integrity: File records accurately and maintain careful control to protect confidentiality and availability
• Reference Support: Assisting agencies with picking up records and answering questions

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility

Qualifications

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of experience in stockroom, warehouse, or clerical work; and graduation from high school; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
