Diesel Service Manager

About us: Company was established in 2003 with one service truck and we have been growing every since. Our shop has 8 bays, we repair trucks, trailers, buses and some heavy equipment. We also have 2 service trucks for on-site work. Benefits: Competitive pay Health Insurance PAID in full Paid sick leave Vacation time Paid Holidays Uniforms provided Monthly bonus program Responsibilities: Set up daily schedule for technicians Assign labor lines to technicians Develop systems and processes for the department to ensure smooth operation. Ensure parts are in-stock or ordered in a timely manner as needed for all scheduled repairs. Accomplish objectives through the use of proper purchasing procedures and inventory control. Handle the parts inventory and track expenses. Handle and resolve customer complaints courteously and professionally. Keep up-to-date on manufacturer warranty, policy, and return procedures. Ensure that all employees follow their assigned work schedules and enforce to the absenteeism, reporting and tardiness policy. Ensure that incoming inventory is stocked in the correct location. Accurately price parts and accessories using the proper pricing source. Implement & carry out safety requirements. Prefer High School Diploma or GED Certificate. Trade School certified as a mechanic would be very helpful. Prefer 5 years of experience in the truck service and repair industry as a mechanic or lead mechanic servicing diesel engines and all their allied equipment and parts. Also, the experience must include complete DOT type training. Service manager is required to be able to write English and have basic math skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
