Quality assurance lead

We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Quality Assurance Lead to join our team in Mt. Vernon. In this role, you will champion our quality standards, drive continuous improvement on the plant floor, and lead our inspection team to ensure every product leaving our facility meets strict regulatory and customer specifications.

salary: $50,000 - $80,000 per year

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and schedule the daily activities of QA inspectors and technicians.
• Floor Oversight: Conduct regular floor audits, monitor production lines, and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Defect & CAPA Management: Lead Corrective and Preventive Action investigations. Troubleshoot manufacturing defects, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Equipment & Calibration: Oversee the calibration, maintenance, and tracking of all precision measurement tools and gauges (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).
• Supplier & Customer Quality: Assist in auditing external suppliers and interface with customers to resolve quality inquiries or complaints efficiently.
