Step into a meaningful role supporting students in the Birmingham, Alabama area for the upcoming school year, beginning August 7 and continuing through June 10. As a dedicated professional, you'll collaborate on-site with educational teams to deliver vital speech-language services to diverse caseloads, determined by the district's current needs and locations.

Requirements & Preferred Skills

• Valid Professional Educator Certification
• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from a regionally accredited institution
• Knowledge of laws and regulations related to services for children with disabilities
• Familiarity with pediatric and adolescent cognitive and physical development
• Ability to compile/analyze data and interpret relevant policies
• Strong grasp of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Effective communication, both written and verbal

Preferred Experience:

• ASHA Certification and ABSESPA Licensure

Responsibilities

• Assess students’ speech, language, and communication abilities
• Develop and implement individualized plans and therapeutic interventions
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
• Maintain compliance with state, federal, and district regulations
• Document and report data per regulatory guidelines
