- Conducting thorough assessments of patients, determining diagnostic tests needed, and developing tailored care strategies
- Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues, either independently or in collaboration with physicians depending on credentials
- Educating patients and families about health maintenance, wellness strategies, and disease prevention
- Prescribing medications and treatments within your scope of practice
- Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic illness management
- Collaborating with various disciplines to ensure a cohesive, patient-centered care approach
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records in electronic medical systems (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in Missouri
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, or the ability to secure them within 90 days
- Strong clinical judgment combined with an empathetic demeanor
- Outstanding interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, their families, and clinical colleagues
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, patient-focused environments
- Familiarity with EMR systems and comfort with telemedicine technologies
