TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Kodiak, Alaska, 99615!

Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – Alaska

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Remote coastal community, Alaska

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, variable schedule including weekends; 60 guaranteed hours per two-week period

Highlights:

• Work in a Critical Access Hospital and Level IV Trauma Center with 46 acute care beds and integrated long-term care services
• Provide couplet care and support across the full spectrum of labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum services in a 4-bed unit
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
• Flexibility required to float within scope to meet facility needs across hospital departments
• First-time travelers welcome with at least 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
• Facility-provided housing included during assignment (pets not permitted)

Requirements:

• Active, unencumbered RN license (Compact license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Advanced preferred)
• Core competencies must include: vaginal delivery assistance, cesarean section care, fetal monitoring (external and internal), postpartum hemorrhage management, newborn assessment, couplet care, epidural management, Pitocin administration, magnesium sulfate therapy, and breastfeeding support
• Preferred experience with Epic EMR
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Clean background check required (no exceptions)
• Two professional references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
