Occupational Therapist - School Setting

Location

Bellefonte, Pennsylvania

Assignment Duration

This is a temporary contract position running from mid November to mid February.

Schedule

Day shift, Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, totaling 36-40 hours per week.

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist will provide services to students in grades K-12 across multiple buildings within the Bellefonte school district. This role involves working with pediatric and adolescent populations, focusing on various interventions, including fine motor skills, mobility, social-emotional regulation, and self-care tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and develop treatment plans tailored to student needs.
• Implement therapy interventions to support student development and learning.
• Collaborate with educational staff and parents to enhance student outcomes.
• Maintain documentation and comply with school district and regulatory requirements.
• Utilize specialized equipment as needed for therapy sessions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a valid BLS certification.
• NBCOT certification required.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
• Experience with pediatric diagnoses such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and developmental delays is preferred.
• Ability to provide services to students with varying needs across multiple school locations.
