Travel Registered Nurse Radiology Job

Overview Registered Nurse – Radiology (Interventional Radiology) for a 13‑week travel temporary assignment in Rochester, NY. Start date: 07/06/2026. Weekly pay: $2,590–$2,723. Shift: 10‑hour shifts on a rotating schedule. Work setting: hospital‑based interventional radiology department in a Level1 Trauma Center serving inpatient and outpatient patients. The role requires flexibility to float as needed and to participate in on‑call, callback, and holiday coverage. Responsibilities Perform pre‑procedural assessment and patient preparation for interventional radiology procedures. Provide post‑procedural recovery and overnight observation care for IR patients. Monitor telemetry, vital signs, and patient status; manage pain control and provide post‑procedure instructions. Support patient flow between inpatient and outpatient IR services; collaborate with radiology, anesthesia, and multidisciplinary teams. Care for patients boarding overnight pre‑ or post‑procedure and assist with 23‑hour care as needed. Document care, ensure accurate handoffs, and maintain safety and quality standards; GI postprocedural care experience is helpful but not required. Requirements Active New York RN license. Minimum 2 years of interventional radiology nursing experience. Telemetry experience required. BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association). Ability to work in a fast‑paced IR/hospital environment; rotating shifts and on‑call responsibilities; ability to float to support units as needed. Education: RN degree or diploma required.
