Welcome to The Rustic
The Rustic is coming to Grandscape in The Colony, and we're building our opening team. Born in Uptown Dallas, The Rustic is a Texas original where live music, wood-grilled food, and ice-cold Texas beer come together under one roof. Guests come for local musicians every night, hand-crafted American favorites like The Rustic Burger and Texas Hot Chicken, premium cocktails, daily happy hour, and family-friendly weekend brunch. Whether it's a night out with friends, a birthday, or a lazy Sunday brunch, The Rustic brings together good food, good music, and good people.
The RoleOur hosts are the first and last faces our guests see. You'll welcome everyone through the door, manage the wait, and get guests seated in the dining room, patio, or bar so their night starts off right. On a big music night, you'll keep the flow organized and the energy welcoming. As part of the opening team, you'll train with us from day one and help set the tone for a brand-new location. If you're organized, upbeat, and love making people feel at home, you'll play a key role in Creating Remarkable Memories for our guests.
Compensation: hourly wage.
What You'll Do• Welcome guests warmly as they arrive
• Quote accurate wait times and manage the waitlist and reservations
• Seat guests in the dining room, patio, and bar areas, balancing sections for the service team
• Provide menus and introduce guests' server
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them back
• Answer phone calls and guest questions about the menu, music, and events
• Assist with to-go orders
• Give extra attention to guests who need it, such as families with young children or older guests
• Keep the host stand and entry area clean and organized
What We're Looking For• Host or guest-facing experience is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to keep track of the entire dining and bar area
• Excellent communication skills, in person and on the phone
• Friendly, polished, guest-first attitude
• Ability to stay calm and organized during busy shifts
• Familiarity with health and safety standards
• TABC Seller-Server Certification and Texas Food Handler Certification
Physical Requirements• Ability to stand and walk for full shifts
• Availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and brunch shifts
