Quality/Supplier Quality Engineer

The client is looking for a hands-on Quality/Supplier Quality Engineer who can troubleshoot defective parts in the field and at the supplier/manufacturing level. Supplier Quality / Field Quality Engineer with 5–10+ years of experience in semiconductor equipment, industrial equipment, aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing, with strong hands-on failure analysis, RCA/8D, GD&T, metrology, machining and sheet-metal knowledge, plus supplier quality and incoming inspection experience.

Responsibilities:

• Perform field failure analysis on parts identified by customer
• Verify correctness of quality issue
• Perform RCA on the identified part or related part
• Find immediate countermeasure to manage line
• Hands on segregation and measurement of on-hold parts
• Identify countermeasure for permanent resolution
• Good understanding of GD&T and associated metrology and measurement techniques
• Understanding of RCA methods and 7QC tools
• Hands on experience in metrology and understanding of part manufacturing processes, specifically machining and sheet metal
• Knowledge on electronic parts qualification and incoming part approval process
