Alden Scientific is an AI-powered platform for integrating and comparing human biological and physiological data — transforming fragmented multi-omic datasets into a more consistent, interpretable foundation for research and decision-making. The Role We're looking for a Product Manager to own Alden Collect , our proprietary platform that coordinates biospecimen logistics, sample tracking, and SOP-driven collection and processing workflows across internal and external research sites. Alden Collect is the operational backbone connecting Alden Scientific to a host of clinical trial study sites across the US — and it needs to mature fast as we scale. This isn't a typical B2B SaaS product role. You'll translate real-world study logistics and workflow pain points into product requirements and roadmap direction, partner closely with engineering and platform teams, and get hands-on with product demos and user troubleshooting. Your work will directly shape how research sites collect, track, and share the samples advancing our understanding of human health. What You'll Do Own the roadmap: Drive product vision for Alden Collect, prioritizing improvements to biospecimen collection and processing, logistics, sample accessioning, and storage tracking across all sites. Prioritize with judgment: Balance urgent, site-specific requests against our long-term goal of a scalable, multi-site platform. Design for adoption: Build workflows that simplify logistics and accessioning for non-Alden users, and lead onboarding and "train-the-trainer" sessions across all performer sites. Safeguard compliance: Ensure Collect maintains rigorous data integrity, chain-of-custody, and security standards (HIPAA/GxP) required for a high-profile federal research contract. Drive excellence with customers: You know that interacting with external and internal customers is central to understanding their needs and your product's trade-offs. You'll provide excellent customer support, but more so build the support into the product to get us out of the loop. What You Bring 2+ years of Product Management experience, ideally in HealthTech, LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems), or clinical/research operations software. Familiarity with high-stakes government or institutional research contracts (ARPA-H, DARPA, NIH, etc.) is a major plus. Technical fluency: you can navigate a repository, read a pull request, and follow a technical discussion without a translator. Working familiarity with GitHub expected, along with an understanding of biobanking logistics (cold-chain, accessioning). Comfort using AI tools day-to-day to move faster on specifications, documentation, and code review — including in a developer environment like VS Code. Exceptional diplomacy — you'll manage competing priorities across research sites and a high-profile government agency, with an eye toward a great experience for every user, institution, participant, and vendor. Experience with Jira or comparable product management software is a plus; our boards and documentation live in Atlassian.
