As a Security Officer Driver Patrol Route in Seattle, WA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a government transportation location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform a driving post, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will support access activities, assist visitors and staff with professional communication, and deliver service with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity in a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout platforms, waiting areas, entry points, parking areas, offices, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with verifying credentials, directing foot traffic, and addressing questions or concerns in accordance with location protocols.
• Support emergency preparedness efforts by following post orders, assisting with evacuations and/or crowd management, and reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
