This position involves providing care for patients with diagnoses such as respiratory issues, weakness, urinary tract infections, acute kidney injury, and chest pain. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role requires a minimum of zero years of experience and involves night shifts with scheduled weekends. Job Details Location: West Virginia, FAIRMONT Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association (AHA) Education/Experience: Must have at least 3 years of RN experience in a step down or medical-surgical setting with step down experience. License: Yes Schedule: 12‑hour night shifts, weekends as scheduled, minimum of 36 hours per week Preferred Qualifications: Experience with titrating drips such as Heparin, insulin, Cardizem, and aminodarone. Floats: Float rotation may be required. Additional Information: Unit ratios are 1:3 for step down and 1:5‑6 for floor patients. RNs are required to titrate drips. Common titratable and set rate drips include Heparin, insulin, Cardizem, aminodarone. Charge Nurse and House Supervisor roles are available. Nurse aides are on the unit, with a ratio of two per shift. RT equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, high‑flow oxygen. Telemetry monitoring with RNs reading strips monitored at a remote location. Specific orientation provided to new staff. The client can cancel up to 2 shifts within a 13‑week assignment and 1 shift for shorter assignments. Shift times are 12 hours at night, with a requirement of three weekends per four‑week schedule.
