Job Description
Registered Nurse - PCU

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts.

Assignment Details

Estimated patient ratios 1:3. Rotating holidays. Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.

Requirements

• 1 year of PCU experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Skills required: IV start, telemetry.
• EPIC experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care for individuals in a cardiac step-down unit.
• Monitor patients and respond to changes in their condition.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as ordered.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement care.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and post-treatment care.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record.
