Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• State certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, or eligibility for certification
• Professional experience teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, preferably in a K-12 environment
• Strong communication skills, with proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) highly valued
• Ability to collaborate with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support educational goals
• Understanding of IEP processes and experience with individualized instruction
• Passion for cultivating accessible, engaging learning experiences

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, adapting materials and approaches to meet diverse needs
• Participate in IEP development and implementation, monitoring progress and making informed recommendations
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success and inclusion
• Provide resources, training, and support for staff and students to enhance accessibility and communication within the educational environment
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with legal and ethical guidelines
