Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), every other weekend required with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Float to high-risk obstetrical units as needed.

Highlights:

• High-volume birthing center with over 300 births per month, averaging 20 births per 24-hour period
• Fast-paced environment with 30-40 admissions and 40 outpatient visits daily
• 2:1 patient ratios with dual labor assignments as a regular occurrence
• Comprehensive care including intrapartum, high-risk antepartum, postpartum, obstetrical triage, and scheduled/unscheduled cesarean births
• Epic EMR system with 24 hours of paid orientation
• Contract options available for 13 to 26 weeks with up to 7 days requested time off

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required; 3 years preferred
• Prior experience in high-volume birthing centers (300+ births/month) is essential
• Current North Carolina or Compact RN license
• Required certifications: BCLS, AWHONN Intermediate (or C-EFM), and NRP
• Competency in circulating for cesarean sections, sterile vaginal exams, and immediate newborn care
• Proficiency with Epic charting system and SBAR communication
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to handle fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environments with confidence
