About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week night shift contract assignment. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment. Responsibilities include patient assessment, triage, medication administration, IV drips and infusions, phlebotomy, initiating IV access, performing EKGs, patient transport, and accurate EMR documentation. The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage acute and chronic medical emergencies and must be comfortable floating to the ED Observation Unit as needed. Patient ratio is approximately 1:5. Flexibility is required as scheduling is based on facility needs.

Requirements

Active New York State RN License
Minimum 1–2 years of recent Emergency Room experience
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross required)
Strong IV therapy and critical care skills
Ability to float within scope of practice

Preferred Qualifications:

TNCC certification
ENPC certification
CPI certification
Prior travel nursing experience
