About the Position

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Perform procedures such as IV insertion, phlebotomy, medication administration, EKGs, and management of drips and infusions.
• Assist in the evaluation and stabilization of patients presenting with illness, trauma, or psychiatric crises.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practitioners, and multidisciplinary staff to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Float to the ED Observation Unit as assigned.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR (Cerner).
• Comply with hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols.

Requirements

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License 
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or American Red Cross) – PALS required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Emergency Room nursing (2 years preferred)
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend

Preferred:

• TNCC and ENPC certifications
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
