Job Description

We are seeking a Process Engineer II to provide technical and sustaining engineering support within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in process development deliverables, including IQ, OQ, PQ process characterization work, and equipment development.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support in a manufacturing area, ensuring processes and equipment meet quality standards and improve production efficiencies.
• Recommend and implement equipment and process modifications to enhance production yields for existing products.
• Integrate equipment and material capabilities to meet target specifications.
• Review product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods to determine costs and schedules.
• Collaborate with product design and development teams to ensure compatibility between processes and designs.
• Conduct or recommend statistical analyses and document work accordingly.
• Lead innovation development and optimization of manufacturing concepts, processes, and procedures for transfer to manufacturing operations.
• Scout and assess feasibility of new materials and processes, select appropriate tooling and fixtures, and oversee equipment installation.
• Develop manufacturing processes applicable to statistical process control, including measurement systems.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations in all processes and procedures.
• Formulate, deliver, and manage projects, working with stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
• Act as a mentor to colleagues or guide entry-level professionals.

Essential Skills

• Practical knowledge and demonstrated competence in process development.
• Experience with medical devices is preferred.
• Familiarity with engineering tools utilized in process development.
• The ability to work independently on moderately complex projects.
• Strong communication skills, particularly in sharing information and gaining support for decision-making.
• Minimum of a Baccalaureate degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with less experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Solutions-driven and detail-oriented.
• Experience with process qualification activities, process improvement, and manufacturing line validation.

Work Environment

The role is based onsite and involves focus on development and production manufacturing readiness activities for pharmaceutical medical devices. The position requires immediate availability to start.

This is a Contract position based out of St Paul, MN.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in St Paul,MN.
