Work Environment

You will work Monday to Friday, following a structured schedule that allows for 40 hours of dedicated patient care each week.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, taking into account medical history, functional assessments, and patient goals to design individualized treatment plans.
• Implement and adapt therapeutic interventions, using techniques that promote healing and restore functional movement across various disciplines such as orthopedics, pediatrics, neurology, and sports medicine.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service by actively engaging with patients, addressing concerns, and creating a welcoming environment that encourages healing.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and improve service delivery, including consultations with other healthcare professionals regarding patient care.
• Educate patients and their caregivers about therapeutic strategies, self-care techniques, and methods to ensure they remain active partners in their recovery journey.
• Meet established minimum patient utilization goals while maintaining high standards of professionalism and care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Texoma Care, you will have the opportunity to work with a broad demographic of patients, including those recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, strokes, and other neurological conditions. Your role will be instrumental in addressing the varied needs of children, athletes, and elderly patients, ensuring that each individual's recovery is tailored to their unique lifestyle and rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-approved program.
• State license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, enhancing effective patient interaction and teamwork.
• Proficient in word processing and electronic medical record systems.

Preferred Experience

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred and may enhance your candidacy.
• Two or more years of experience in physical therapy practice, with a focus on relevant population segments.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with patients and the local community.
• Current CPR certification is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits
