Responsibilities include delegating duties to nursing staff, monitoring performance, observing patients for signs of adverse changes, and notifying physicians of emergencies or patient status updates. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Qualifications And Skills High school diploma and graduation from an accredited Nursing School. Valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing; proof of renewal required every other year. Willingness to serve as charge nurse and work during emergencies for adequate coverage. Ability to deliver quality geriatric nursing care, follow medical orders, and demonstrate genuine interest in patient well-being. CPR certification renewed annually and participation in required training sessions and staff meetings.
