Key Responsibilities For The Senior Accountant Lead day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with nonprofit GAAP standards. Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries. Prepare financial statements, supporting schedules, and management reporting. Oversee accounting and compliance activities related to federal, state, and private grants. Coordinate annual financial audits, Single Audit activities, and regulatory filings. Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and banking activities while supporting strong internal controls. Qualifications For The Senior Accountant Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a nonprofit environment. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, month-end close, and general ledger management. Experience supporting audits and grant accounting, preferably including federal grant compliance and Single Audit requirements. #J-18808-Ljbffr CFS
