Registered Nurse (RN) - Stepdown

Registered Nurse PCU

Schedule: Day shifts, 4x12-hour shifts (06:45 - 19:15). Every other weekend required.

Assignment Details: Contract length of 13 weeks or longer, with target ratios of 1:3-4. Maximum of 7 days of RTO for Aya Auto Offer.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Must have experience with arterial lines and titrating vasoactive drips.
• Experience with conscious sedation, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown care, and telemetry.
• Must hold valid ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications.
• Ability to manage dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, and blood product administration.
• Experience with central line care, peripheral line management, and PICC line management.
• Familiarity with high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), CPAP/BIPAP, and tracheostomy management.
• Comfortable using bedside telemetry monitors and recognizing and treating dysrhythmias.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor patient status and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Assist in the management of patient care including rapid response protocols.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.

Compliance / Notes:

Hospital orientation during the first week; traveler must be available for classes each day. Must pass EKG testing prior to start for this specialty.
