Medical Records Specialist Pay: $21–$27/hour Location: In-office, Marietta, GA Schedule: Full-time, 40 hrs/week Own medical records and high-volume document production for a personal-injury practice. Half your day is keeping our records accurate, secure, and retrievable; the other half is fulfilling attorney requests for records and bills — fast, complete, and correct. If you're both organized and quick, and backlogs bug you, this is your role. About the role AICA Orthopedics has led in orthopedic and PI care for 25 years — 21 locations and a surgery center. In a PI practice, records are load-bearing twice over: they have to be complete and retrievable when a request lands, and they have to reach attorneys on time for cases to move and for us to get paid. You own both sides. What you'll do — Document Production Process a high volume of attorney requests for medical records and bills Validate authorizations under HIPAA and assemble complete, correct record sets Prioritize the queue by deadline and urgency so nothing ages out Track each request to delivery, confirm receipt, and update attorney offices on status What you'll do — Records Management Oversee filing, auditing, scanning, and organization so records are complete and retrievable Protect confidential patient information and maintain strict HIPAA compliance on every release Keep patient accounts updated with accurate information to support collections Flag missing or incomplete documentation and coordinate internally to close the gap What you need 1–2 years in medical records, release of information, or document production Experience handling high request volume against deadlines Strong records organization — the discipline to keep a system clean and auditable Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA Accuracy under pace Nice to have Attorney / personal-injury records request experience RHIT or RHIA certification High-volume ROI or EHR record-production platform experience Why AICA Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) Certification and continuing-ed support Requirements Qualifications: 1–2 years in medical records, release of information, or document production Experience handling high request volume against deadlines Strong records organization — the discipline to keep a system clean and auditable Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA Accuracy under pace Nice to have Attorney / personal-injury records request experience RHIT or RHIA certification High-volume ROI or EHR record-production platform experience #J-18808-Ljbffr Proco-LL
