Production Aide

Pay Rate: $14.66 Hours: 8:30am - 1:45pm Monday-Friday Position Summary Position is responsible for assisting in production with emphasis on salads, fruits or desserts and is able to set up and perform duties on the cash registers. Works as a member of the Food Service Team. Qualifications Must be able to work under crowded and increased noise level conditions. Must have a fun-loving disposition and interact well with children. Must be willing and able to relocate to different schools when occasion warrants. Must complete 10-hour sanitation course once hired. Must be able to understand and follow written and verbal instruction. Must be able to understand and assist with completing daily production records. Duties and Responsibilities Complete salads, fruits or desserts, and assist with ala cart items for meal service. Assist with serving or cashiering at mealtime. Assist in dish room with putting stock away, labeling, dating, and rotating using FIFO method. Ensure quality appearance of foods on service line. Serve food with reasonable speed and accuracy according to production record. Know portion sizes. Familiarity with proper taste, temperature, composition, and appearance of menu items. Understand and follow written and verbal instruction. Complete laundry. Will also assist in any other duties requested by the manager. Safety and Sanitation Reports all malfunctions to the school manager. Assist in general cleaning and sanitation of the kitchen area. Make daily and weekly inspections of kitchen conditions to maintain high standards of sanitation and safety.
