Material Handling and Inventory Control Specialist

Are you experienced in material handling and inventory control? We have an exciting opportunity in Wylie, TX for a Material Handling and Inventory Control Specialist working a Monday to Friday schedule.

This role involves purchasing and receiving project materials, maintaining accurate inventory, and handling materials throughout the warehouse using forklifts and other equipment. You will ensure efficient warehouse operations by loading, unloading, and organizing materials, with a contract-to-hire position from 7 AM to 4 PM.

LOCATION: Wylie, TX 75098
POSITION: Contract to hire
SCHEDULE: 7AM – 4PM M-F
PAY: 18.00hr

Responsibilities

Purchase and maintain all project materials
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely
Load and unload trucks following shipping and receiving procedures
Move materials within the warehouse
Maintain accurate inventory records
Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
Assist with general warehouse organization and housekeeping

Required Qualifications

Proven experience operating a forklift (valid certification preferred)
Previous warehouse or material handling experience
Skills in inventory control, shipping, and receiving
Strong computer skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand for extended periods
Attention to detail
Commitment to safety
Team player with a positive attitude
