Front Desk Associate (Bilingual English/Spanish)

About the Role

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and dependable Front Desk Associate to support a busy Mental Health Services Program in the Bronx. As the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and callers, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment while providing administrative and front office support.

The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish , possesses excellent customer service skills, and is comfortable interacting with diverse populations in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet clients, visitors, and staff in a professional and welcoming manner
• Answer and route incoming phone calls efficiently
• Direct visitors and inquiries to the appropriate departments or personnel
• Maintain a clean, organised, and professional reception area
• Assist with scheduling, appointment coordination, and general administrative tasks
• Provide accurate information regarding services and programme resources
• Support office operations by maintaining records and handling basic clerical duties
• Ensure client confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritise responsibilities in a busy environment
• Professional demeanour and positive attitude
• Basic computer and administrative skills
• Previous front desk, receptionist, customer service, or administrative experience preferred

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a healthcare, mental health, social services, or nonprofit setting
• Familiarity with client-facing environments and handling high call volumes

This is a Contract position based out of Bronx, NY.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
