Investment Associate

Our client is an established platform focused on advancing distributed renewables solutions through greenfield project development, project acquisitions, construction, project finance, and asset ownership. They currently own >500MW of operating & under construction solar plants led by the founders who have a track record of over 4GW and $8.5bn of capital formations. Headquartered in a new office space in the Bay Area. Position Overview Our client is seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to support all functions of their investment team. This position is for someone inspired by the opportunity to gain experience in renewable energy transactions, financial modeling, investor management, and new investment origination, while working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. The Associate will assist the team in all aspects of working with our key partners, including capital providers (equity, tax equity, and debt), project development partners, and external asset management contractors. Responsibilities: Build, refine, and audit sophisticated project finance models for various transaction structures, including tax equity and debt Organize and present project data to financial partners in a leading role in due diligence and financial transaction closing processes Manage key project contracts and development objectives to achieve project milestones on schedule and on budget Support strategic business objectives and ad-hoc strategic projects as they continue to scale Collaborate closely with Development, EPC and Asset Management business functions Qualifications: 3-6 years of renewable energy and/or finance experience (investment banking, project finance, or private equity is a plus) Strong passion for and experience in renewable energy Expert financial modeling and valuation capabilities Demonstrated ability to manage deal processes Experience with tax equity and project finance debt modeling and transactions Working understanding of renewable energy project development and construction Familiarity with due diligence management and counterparty coordination Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and accountability Organized, diligent, and able to track and manage multiple streams of information on an ongoing basis Commercial awareness and transaction composure Ability to work accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, and seek out additional responsibility Excellent verbal, written, power point, and interpersonal communication skills Team player, sense of humor, and mission-driven mindset MBA or advanced degree is a plus but not a requirement Competitive salary and performance-based cash bonuses Participation in our employee incentive plan Safe Harbor 401(k) savings plan and Cash Balance Plan #J-18808-Ljbffr The Green Recruitment Company
