Student Program Coordinator

Location: Hybrid — three days in the office
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional evening events
Pay Rate: $30 per hour

Position Summary

The Temporary Program Coordinator will support a student philanthropy program focused on increasing student engagement and giving. This role will coordinate fundraising campaigns, recruit and manage student volunteers, support student organization crowdfunding, and develop initiatives that promote a culture of philanthropy across campus.

The Coordinator will work closely with the Associate Director, Annual Giving, student leaders, campus organizations, and the Student Philanthropy Committee.

Essential Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the student philanthropy program, including volunteer coordination, campaign planning, communications, and administrative support. 
• Plan and coordinate educational programs, events, and marketing initiatives that promote student philanthropy and increase student participation. 
• Build relationships with student leaders and organizations, including student government, clubs, student organizations, club sports, and varsity athletic teams.
• Identify and support student-led fundraising and crowdfunding opportunities.
• Recruit student organizations and volunteers for annual giving campaigns and university-wide fundraising events. 
• Train, onboard, and support student organizations participating in crowdfunding campaigns, Giving Day, Giving Tuesday, and other fundraising initiatives. 
• Recruit, train, supervise, and recognize student volunteers and committee members as needed. 
• Track campaign participation and results and provide updates to leadership.
• Support donor stewardship and follow-up communications with student donors.

Qualifications

• Experience in program coordination, event planning, fundraising, communications, student engagement, or a related field.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent relationship-building and networking abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience working with students, volunteers, campus organizations, or nonprofit programs preferred.
• Familiarity with digital communications, crowdfunding, or fundraising platforms preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Must be available to work three days per week in the office.
• Must be willing to adjust the schedule occasionally to attend evening committee meetings and campus events.
