Product ManagerThe Product Manager is responsible for developing and executing product strategies and roadmaps that align with SHI's vision and business goals, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery and customer satisfaction. This role involves conducting market research, gathering product requirements, leading beta programs, monitoring product performance, and supporting go-to-market strategies, while staying informed of industry trends and providing training and demonstrations for product capabilities. This position is required to report to the Austin, TX or Somerset, NJ office location on a hybrid basis.Role DescriptionLead stakeholder discussions for intake, discovery, problem definition, scope alignment, and prioritization.Define and document business problems, desired outcomes, success metrics, value drivers, assumptions, dependencies, and scope boundaries.Evaluate and qualify incoming transformation requests for business alignment, readiness, expected value, feasibility inputs, and cross-functional impact.Create execution-ready demand packages that enable Program Management, Architecture, Solution teams, and delivery partners to proceed with clear context.Partner with Architecture and Solution teams to provide business context for rough order of magnitude (ROM) estimates and technical solutioning.Facilitate trade-off discussions based on business value, risk, urgency, readiness, and strategic alignment.Prepare recommendations, business cases, and decision-ready materials for prioritization forums.Maintain visibility into assigned demand items, discovery status, risks, decisions, dependencies, and value realization inputs.Collaborate with Program Managers and Project Managers to ensure a seamless handoff from discovery into planning and delivery governance.Drive continuous improvement of product discovery processes, intake standards, templates, and business-facing communication within the Transformation Office.Support adoption and change readiness by clarifying stakeholder impacts, business outcomes, and success measures.Behaviors and CompetenciesBusiness Acumen: Can analyze financial and operational data to make informed decisions.Communication: Can effectively communicate complex ideas and information, and can adapt communication style to the audience.Follow-Through: Can manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines without needing explicit reminders.Organization: Can prioritize daily tasks, manage personal workflow, and utilize basic tools to keep track of responsibilities.Detail-Oriented: Can identify errors or inconsistencies in work and make necessary corrections.Data Analysis: Can identify patterns and trends in data, propose hypotheses, and use statistical techniques to test themProblem-Solving: Can identify problems, propose solutions, and take action to resolve them without explicit instructions.Multi-Tasking: Can identify opportunities for task optimization, propose solutions, and manage multiple tasks without explicit instructions.Strategic Thinking: Can contribute to the development of strategic plans and initiatives.Willingness to Learn: Can actively seek out learning opportunities but may need guidance to apply new knowledge or skills effectively.Time Management: Can generally use time effectively and is working towards improving task prioritization and deadline management.Skill Level RequirementsAbility to lead business discovery by defining the business problem, desired outcomes, success metrics, and scope boundaries that drive prioritization and demand packaging. — IntermediateStrong understanding of product management principles including intake governance, discovery frameworks, and value-driven prioritization across the demand lifecycle. — IntermediateAbility to independently gather, structure, and translate complex business requirements, assumptions, dependencies, and success criteria into execution-ready demand packages. — IntermediateProficiency in utilizing Atlassian tools such as Jira Product Discovery, Jira, and Confluence, or similar product management platforms to manage intake, track discovery progress, and maintain backlog quality. — IntermediateExperience conducting market research, performing competitive analysis, and gathering customer feedback to inform product discovery, business cases, and transformation strategy. — IntermediateOther RequirementsCompleted Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).5–8 years of experience in product management, business product ownership, business analysis, consulting, transformation, or technology-enabled change.Ability to travel to SHI, Partner, and Customer EventsAbility to travel 25%The estimated annual pay range for this position is $135,000 - $165,000 which includes a base salary. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
