2nd Shift CNC Mill & Lathe Setup/Operator
North Ridgeville, OH

We are a growing company seeking experienced 2nd Shift CNC Mill and Lathe Setup/Operators to join our production team. This position is ideal for motivated machinists who take pride in precision work, problem-solving, and maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes for production runs
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
• Modify CNC programs and offsets as required
• Select and install tooling, fixtures, and machine attachments
• Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks
• Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and indicators
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain tolerances
• Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues
• Maintain production and quality documentation
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, programmers, and quality personnel

• Minimum of 2–5 years CNC setup and operating experience preferred
• Strong setup skills on CNC mills and/or lathes
• Ability to modify and edit CNC programs
• Experience with G-code and blueprint reading
• Knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining practices
• Ability to hold tight tolerances and perform precision measurements
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Experience with Fanuc or similar CNC controls
• Multi-axis machining experience
• Prior experience in a production machining environment

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Frequent bending, reaching, and movement throughout the shift

• Wages: $25-$30 an hour based on experience +$1.00/hour shift differential
