Litigation Associate, 2+ Years — Kirkland, WA (Hybrid)

Our client is a well established litigation firm based in the Seattle area, known for representing financial institutions, lenders, and creditors in state court matters. The team handles a steady, high volume docket, giving associates real courtroom reps and hands on experience much faster than they'd typically get at a larger, more generalized firm. It's a place built for attorneys who want to be busy, who want to learn from experienced litigators, and who'd rather be in the middle of the action than sitting on the sidelines.

Direct mentorship under two senior attorneys who are invested in developing junior talent

A high volume caseload that builds real litigation reps quickly, not years of sitting on the bench

Medical coverage, 100% employer paid for the employee (Blue Shield)

Hybrid schedule that balances courtroom and in office time with flexibility

Handle motion practice, general pleadings, and discovery across a caseload of approximately 40+ matters

Litigate primarily in state court, with regular courtroom appearances

Draft and argue motions, manage discovery, and communicate directly with clients throughout the life of a case

Work independently while collaborating closely with two senior attorneys on strategy and case management

Required:

• 2 to 5 years of litigation experience (sweet spot is 2 to 3 years)
• Strong background in motion practice, legal drafting, discovery, and client communication
• A self starter who's reliable, eager to learn, and comfortable managing a heavy caseload

Preferred:

• Experience in creditor rights, mortgage, real property, foreclosure, evictions, or other financial institution related litigation
• Courtroom experience, whether through trials, hearings, or regular motion calendars
• General familiarity with real property or foreclosure law is a plus, though not required
