Director, Chemical Production Operations

Job Summary The Director, Chemical Production Operations is part of Alcon’s Manufacturing function and is primarily responsible for leading the department to align with company goals through strategic planning, resource management, and regulatory compliance at our Manufacturing location in John’s Creek, GA. Responsibilities Lead the Chemical Production Operations department, developing and implementing strategies for success. Oversee the processing of ingredients and pharmaceutical products, including contact lenses, and work with saline solutions and mix compound ingredients for various products. Perform general maintenance on equipment and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Make key departmental decisions, manage resources, and approve projects. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain high-quality standards. Stay current with industry advances and apply agile problem‑solving techniques. Participate in team projects to develop process improvement methods and enhance program quality, cost, and scheduling. Monitor and verify quality using statistical process or other control procedures. Foster a culture of excellence by leading performance management and talent development, driving associate engagement, recognizing achievements, and promoting a strong safety culture. Ensure all associates adhere to GxP regulations and maintain accurate documentation. Commit to continuous improvement and contribute to organizational compliance.
