As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Visitor Management in Far Rockaway, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a shelter setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will engage respectfully with residents, visitors, and staff while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate: $$22.50 - $23.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and program participants by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access to the shelter location, verify visitor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and document arrivals, departures, and unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, respectful, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate site contacts and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, common areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and policy violations.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
