Project Accountant 2 We are looking for a Project Accountant 2 to support our project accounting function. The role requires autonomous work on client invoicing, collections, and project budgeting, in addition to assisting with coding, A/P processing, timesheets, and expense reports. Responsibilities Work autonomously on client invoicing, collections management and project budgeting, as well as backup assistance on coding and processing A/P, timesheets, and expense reports Accurately document, administer and maintain contract documentation, including fee and budget entry Collaborate with section and project personnel to provide timely contract performance data and resolve financial issues Coordinate the project accounting system within the department and work with technical staff to ensure compliance with contractual requirements Assist multiple project managers and staff on a daily basis Mentor junior project accountants as needed Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Preference given to candidates who reside locally in NY/NJ Required Qualifications Associate degree in a closely related field or a combination of education and relevant experience Minimum of 5 years of experience; an advanced degree may offset years of experience Familiarity with Earned Value Management Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling, and telephone skills Flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks while collaborating with various managers in a fast‑paced environment Self‑motivated, well‑organized and detail‑oriented Ability to handle confidential information Proficiency with MS Office, including Word and Outlook Commitment to being an active participant in our employee‑owned culture Benefits We provide a comprehensive benefits package that promotes employee ownership, health, performance, and success. Expected compensation range: $79,713–$113,875 for Woodcliff Lake, NJ (full‑time regular position). Temporary and part‑time roles may be eligible for limited benefits.
