Maintenance Mechanic III

About The Role We are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repairs of machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe systems; and performs emergency response tasks as needed. This is a great opportunity for an experienced mechanic to make a meaningful impact on our ongoing operations. Relocation assistance may be provided for selected candidates, where applicable. Reporting to the Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor and working in a collaborative community, you will Support safety efforts in his/her department, participating in programs and systems to promote a safety culture at the site. Execute mechanical work orders as scheduled and planned. Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment. Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts. Set up and operate machine tools such as grinders, drills, and saws to repair or fabricate machine parts, fixtures, and tools. Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment. Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. Keep accurate records of work performed, time spent on jobs, and materials used. Recommend and implement improvement ideas/methods for maintenance to lower costs and to improve equipment performance, reliability, and personnel safety. Enter production data into VDBs, log/batch sheets, databases and systems (SAP). Work 2nd, 3rd, or 12‑hour shifts as required. About You High School diploma or GED required. An associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school and one year of related experience; or 3 or more years of mechanical manufacturing experience with trade school diploma/certification desired. Basic working knowledge of the Materials Management and Production Planning modules in SAP as well as Excel and Word Processing software (Microsoft Office, including Access).
