Warehouse Shipping & Forklift Specialist

Location: Kalispell, Montana

Position: Part-Time / Flexible Hours
Compensation:  $26–$32 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Hemp Silk Threads is seeking a  dependable, experienced Warehouse Shipping & Forklift Specialist to assist with warehouse operations and the preparation and shipment of our textile inventory from our Kalispell warehouse.

We are looking for someone who is  experienced, careful, organized, physically capable, and dependable . This is not simply a general warehouse labor position. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently and will have experience safely operating a forklift, preparing LTL freight, and handling valuable textile inventory.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to move textile inventory and pallets
• Load and unload trucks and freight shipments
• Move and organize large rolls of fabric within the warehouse
• Build and prepare pallets for  LTL freight shipments
• Properly stack, protect, secure, stretch-wrap, and label shipments
• Assist with weighing, measuring, counting, and documenting inventory
• Prepare individual fabric rolls and larger orders for shipment
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse
• Help verify outgoing shipments for accuracy
• Work carefully to prevent damage to fabric and other inventory
• Assist with other shipping and warehouse duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience required
• Warehouse, shipping, receiving, freight, or distribution experience strongly preferred
• Experience preparing pallets for LTL freight is highly desirable
• Ability to safely handle large and sometimes heavy rolls of fabric
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Dependable transportation and reliable attendance
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Safety-conscious and careful when handling inventory
• References from previous employers preferred

Forklift certification is a plus. Applicants with substantial forklift experience who need updated certification are also encouraged to apply.
