The facility provides residential and community-based support for adults with behavioral health needs and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities. It operates as a community behavioral health and service office rather than a hospital or large medical center. Clinical supervision is provided by an Executive Director and Psychiatrist.

Outdoor spaces such as Franklin Square and Morris Arboretum's 92-acre grounds provide options for open-air activities. The Licensed Professional Counselor will provide individual, family, and group therapy to adults experiencing psychiatric symptoms on a full-time day shift schedule totaling 40 hours per week. The clinician will conduct intakes and assessments, including biopsychosocial and risk assessments, and will develop treatment and recovery plans in collaboration with clients while monitoring progress toward established goals. Responsibilities include crisis intervention and outreach, documentation of progress notes, treatment-plan updates, collateral contacts, and discharge summaries, as well as referrals and care coordination with psychiatrists, medical providers, community resources, and family members. Evidence-based approaches are utilized, including Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Enhancement Therapy, and Illness Management and Recovery.
