Senior Software Engineer - Cloud Operations

What you will own

• Design, implement, and operate core cloud platform components.
• Build and maintain Kubernetes clusters and develop custom Kubernetes operators.
• Write production-grade Go and Python code for platform services and automation.
• Improve reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency of cloud infrastructure ( AWS/GCP/Azure ).
• Strengthen observability through monitoring, logging, alerting, and metrics.
• Automate operational workflows and platform integrations.
• Collaborate closely with Platform, Regions & Clusters, and Features teams.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and long-term system hardening.
• Continuously reduce KTLO and operational overhead through engineering improvements.

Who you are

• 5–7+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or SRE-adjacent roles.
• Strong proficiency in Go and Python , or deep expertise in one with willingness to work regularly with both.
• Solid experience running Kubernetes in production.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud providers ( AWS, GCP, or Azure ).
• Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and automation practices.
• Comfortable participating in on-call rotations and managing production incidents.
• Ownership mindset and clear communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building Kubernetes operators or control-plane components.
• Background in SaaS, database, or systems-level product companies.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry , or similar tooling.
• Familiarity with networking, load balancing, or service meshes.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
