MRI Technologist - 5x8 Shift

We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate must have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology. Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is preferred. You will be responsible for operating the MRI machine effectively, ensuring patient comfort during scanning procedures, and coordinating with physicians to facilitate timely results. Familiarity with medical terminology is required, and the ability to stand for extended periods is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test
• Document all procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality
• Perform patient care tasks as needed

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of MRI technologist experience
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• New York State Rad Tech license (must be obtained post-hire)
• Injection certification
• Experience with GE scanners is mandatory
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience is preferred

Schedule

Sunday to Thursday, 10 PM to 6:30 AM, with holidays on call as needed.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
