Industrial Sewing Machine Operator
Location: Skokie, IL
Pay: $18.00
**Schedule: **Monday - Friday: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM (OT as needed 4:00-4:30pm)
Requirements: Authorization to work in the in the U.S
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress to join our production team in Skokie, Illinois. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for a dependable candidate with sewing experience who is interested in long-term employment.
The ideal candidate will have experience operating a JUKI industrial sewing machine and producing high-quality sewn products in a manufacturing environment. This position requires strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to meet production and quality expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate a JUKI industrial sewing machine safely and efficiently.
- Sew, assemble, alter, and repair garments, protective apparel, and textile products according to specifications.
- Follow work instructions, patterns, measurements, and production requirements.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet company quality standards.
- Identify and report defective materials, sewing issues, or equipment problems.
- Maintain an organized and clean workstation.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Meet daily production and quality expectations.
- Work independently while supporting overall team production goals.
- Perform overtime as needed to meet production demands.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Seamstress, Sewing Machine Operator, or Industrial Sewer is preferred.
- Experience operating a JUKI sewing machine is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce consistent, high-quality work.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to follow instructions, measurements, and production specifications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Dependable with reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
