Location Morrison Healthcare at University of Virginia Medical Center Dialysis Center, Altavista, VA. Compensation & Schedule Salary: $65,000-$90,000 based on experience. Schedule: Full time, Monday - Friday. Signing bonus: $7,000. Job Summary Join a talented group of close to 80 dietitians with Morrison Healthcare at the University of Virginia Health System in beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia. At this level, dietitians play an integral role on multidisciplinary teams in many specialty areas, both in the 600‑bed inpatient setting and in over 30 outpatient clinics. RDs participate in research and quality improvement projects, host dietetic interns, and are supported in pursuing leadership and community service experiences. Continuing education opportunities are plentiful from within the accomplished nutrition team and from the health system which values ongoing training and education. Job Responsibilities Provide renal nutrition care to approximately 80-100 patients in an outpatient dialysis facility. Work within a team of thirteen RDs across 12 facilities, providing support, education, and networking. Collaborate with a comprehensive interdisciplinary healthcare team in a chronic care setting. Provide education opportunities for MDs, patients, and other healthcare professionals. Encourage growth and professional advancement as part of a dynamic nutrition team. Qualifications Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Enthusiastic about renal nutrition, continuous quality improvement, and comprehensive individualized plans of care for chronic kidney disease patients. Able to work well independently as well as with a team. Minimum one year of clinical experience post‑registration with the CDR. Strong interest in renal disease states and clinical nutrition.
